Our immunity is masterpiece that protect us not only from infection but also try its best to prevent cancer development by identifying cancer cells by its altered proteins expression. But there is a catch, as our immunity doesn't kill our own cells because of inhibitory signals and immune tolerance.

Cancer cell gets a way out of immune surveillance by exploiting such signals among many other mechanisms, and devides indefinitely.

Immunotherapy, by enlarge, reactivates patient's immunity to kill cancer cells. Immunotherapy consists of drugs, vaccines, allogenic stem cell transplant and car t cell therapy.
